| | Inspire the team at Big Internal Sales Conference We worked with the board of a leading retailer to help them inspire and motivate their top managers ready for the Christmas sales drive. We brainstormed with the team to help them to analyse the audience, develop motivational messaging, decide who said what and how. Then our theatre director coached all of them to communicate on a large stage, 600 people auditorium, lights, video. We attended the event and then provided feedback and guidance on how to develop further. (More)(Less) | | | Get What You Want From The Board of Directors The board of this consumer goods organisation is driven by product marketing. Our senior clients run research & development. The challenge was to influence the board to attract the funding and revenues for key R&D projects. But also to communicate the constraints and implications of the science in a way that was clear, interesting and compelling. We worked with teams from Germany, Italy and the UK to promote their personal credibility and visibility and secure the funding they needed. (More)(Less) | | | Vision & Values Days We worked with the UK board of a pharmaceutical company to develop and facilitate an exciting company day which would start to build the behaviours around the vision and values from the ground up. We used techniques such as team collages, reverse thinking activities, games & voting to build the team spirit, to identify key behaviours they did and didn't want and agree a consensus on the priorities for the company going forward. (More)(Less) | | | Breaking Bad News With Integrity We worked with a large technology company to humanise the way they communicated redundancies. They were constrained by the legal wording they had been given. But the primary problem was that the managers found it hard to break the news to their people. We worked with them to make sure the message and next steps were clear but also delivered in an honest, human and natural way. This ensured that the people staying with the company could see that the company valued its people despite the financial situation. (More)(Less) | | | Finance Director Communication This retailer wanted to make sure that the whole company understood not just the figures but the financial strategy so that everyone could play their part in increasing revenues and decreasing costs. We worked with the finance director to help him structure his presentation content to suit the different audiences he talked to and built the impact and energy levels within his delivery style. (More)(Less) | | | Working in A Second Language No matter how good your English it can be frustrating presenting in a second language. We worked with a French head of business unit to show how he could turn this to his advantage. We dispelled his perceptions that speaking in English needed to be very sedate. We encouraged him to get his energy higher by practising a piece in French. Then translating that energy and natural style into his English presentation. We also worked on the light and shade in his voice and delivery to hold the audience. (More)(Less) | | | Build Relationships with CEOs We worked with a major global consultancy implementing a large change programme. Our role was to work with their top 50 partners to help them build trusted client relationships with CEOs. Part of this was to communicate their new proposition with confidence and gravitas from the outset. We set up a programme based on the poker game in James Bond Casino Royale to help people identify and manage 'their tell' - the thing that gives them away under pressure. Our theatre director, financial specialist and MD ran the programme in groups. The chairman had set them key developmental tasks before they could achieve final sign off on the appointment. Our job was to get them through this last challenge. (More)(Less) | | | Pitch Development & Rehearsal We work with client teams to make sure that your new business presentation sells your programme and your team. This is not just about presenting well as a team. That's only half the story. We worked with this global technology communications team to make sure that the selling process was covering all bases, they were clear on the competitive strategy, the value proposition was compelling, the story was well told and met the cultural style of the client. Then we rehearsed the team through the presentation and the critical question and answers which followed.
